21 May 2006 - Review of Internet's Top 10 Hottest Surfs
Here is a review of Internet Top 10 hottest. I will use the pageviews in MMG as a basis. Of all the forums, both MMG and Talkgold rank the highest in terms of visitors. Much of the noise can be seen there. In my view, MMG edges out Talkgold for threads and traffic on Surf programs. The pageviews indicated here are those of 2 days ago when I tracked them on my spreadsheet.
Since the last review on 12 May, there have been some changes. The Top 5 hottest are Alientrust, Compactsurf, Wiredsurf, Dadndaves and TotalRune, with only Phoenix falling out and TotalRune moving up into the Top 5.
Commentary (Those In)
1. Alientrust (410,716). The hot kid on the block that came in Nov last year, turned out now to be a veteran and still going strong. Some interesting firsts on Alientrust - it was the first to craft a totally new design apart from the usual script used by AS, it was based on a weekly payout (which totally stumped everyone on its capability to pay) and the use of expensive servers and hosting ie Rackspace. It was truly unfortunate that Alientrust was derailed for a while by Scampay cos otherwise, it might be on the way to reach 12dailypro's record of 300,000 subscribers. Alientrust is now ranked as the hottest surf in town but is regarded as 'old' by gamers. How long will it go on? Not too long ago, it made some controversial decisions - verification of subscribers and insistence of VM cards at the exclusion of other surf programs. Many recent surf programs learned from AT NOT to do the same ie insistence of VM on its subscribers and sharing of VM card with other surfs. AT needs to think about getting new players or keeps the momentum alive in this constant changing landscape of surfs. At this point, I can only say I am impressed that it has lasted this long. How long more? - that is a good question which you should have your own answer but as a gamer, I am out of this one. Weekly payout allows you to breakeven fast in this surf.
2. Compactsurf (222,655). The latest new kid that is on the rush to catch up with Alientrust. Only started in 4 Mar in the aftermath of Scampay when all of us are weary, it has now in my view is the top fast-growing surf at the moment. It withstood a DDOS attack and it did not struggle with payouts - still paying within 48 hours after expiry of upgrade and that is impressive. It allowed 3 payouts which I reckoned is good for longevity, one less than AT. This is only going into 3 months in existence and more are joining the bandwagon. I keep hearing of friends joining the first time - goodness me, I have already been paid countless in this surf. Its goal is to get the non-surf inclined individuals to join like what 12dailypro did. I am betting this one will last much longer due to diversified businesses which now include Compactlottery and Compactpay. Compactpay will be rolling out soon and here is one up for Compact. It will not force its subscribers to use Compactpay learning from AT's experience. One clue I noticed that surfs reaching the top, is to have a good business plan, big budget and team to carry them out. AT did have a budget and team as well. Get my hint?
3. Wiredsurf (154,537). It managed to get out of DDOS attack and resumed payments - something which I noticed it struggled previously. It made an attack on a famous blogger who questioned whether this will last. Look here, bloggers and fellow netizens made comments and the surf program simply had to overcome the problems. Paying promptly will eradicate all talk and the fact that it struggled with payments, clearly showed something. At the moment, all Wiredsurf needs to do is to work on payments and all things especially trust will resume. It also made a drastic shift in pay structure in line with current competitors. Wiredsurf, in my view, created a first in surf industry by being highly comprehensive with a business plan! This surf has been around for 3 months only.
4. Dadndaves (127,232). This got to be the longest running surf on record, besides Profoundhits. It just hit its one year in existence. Dadndaves have finished paying off its latest payments and now is launching its new promotion for new subscribers. Any attempt to get new money is a red flag. I am sure Dave Cannard know all about red flags and afterall, he was instrumental in coaching all of us about it, being the Gamer himself. I think Dadndaves is still in the business of surfing although it claims that it has other businesses. It has upped its payment into 1% per day, back to its glorious days, now this is valid for 400 days. I have said it before that all surf programs need new subscribers for it to continue. After honouring the Scampay's subscriptions, Dadndaves got a legitmate basis to go back to get funds - but it is not necessary to be in dire straits in my view. So a successful raising will stand this surf to be in good shape especially many more surf programs are offering higher percentages which Dadndaves ride on.
5. TotalRune (83,082). Another surf program that launched itself from pre-Scampay era. It is paying weekly and is still doing so. However, surfing is slow and upgrades are put into manual mode at certain time. To date, I got a friend who upgraded manually last Friday and still couldn' get a reply from them. It got to be doing fast to resolve all these problems. This is another smart surf to last this long since Dec 05. It has launched into a multiple of family surfs like instant money, auto-insompnaicpro etc. That is a smart move. Secondly, it has made an attempt to derive other business streams. I am pleased to say that Paul Corrao responded quickly to my request for a refund from Scampay and so it is back in my portfolio.
6. 14dailygold (36,218). This kid is making hot news moving up from the tenth position (in 12 May's Review). It is another high-paying surf and noise is getting heard! It is definitely a gamer's play, rated as a promising surf!
7. Gladiator (35,377). The site just went thru' a change. The pageviews are up due to the presence of Admin communicating in the thread. I got paid several times here.
8. eDataSurf (21,830). This is new in Top 10. In the previous review on 12 May, this was not even in the Top 10 and I briefly mentioned its potential and highly recommended this surf. Here it is - in Top 10. Impressive especially considering that it started only in late Apr. It boosts of an impressive design, expensive server with DDOS protection right at the BEGINNING and Ramesh, the communicative and responsive admin. Ramesh has exchanged some personal notes with me and he assured me he got a plan to derive revenues. The payout was promptly but the subscriber wouldn't feel that there was actually a 7-day delay. It was much lower-paying in terms of yield so I reckoned that this will last. Remember Ramesh in edatamerge, is a gamer himself and he got all the connections to get this right.
9. Tendaily (21,567). This is new in Top 10. Highly underrated but this surf got to be the best performing surviving high-yield surf I know of. Few people had even heard about it. The MMG thread was started on 20 Sep 05, and the monthly ROI is whopping 100%. How does it do it? Basically, the surf program requires you to deposit a certain amount before you are eligible for withdrawal but still, the surf lives on and there is a happy crowd in MMG. This allows alertpro and personally, I am impressed. A whopping 8 months in existence for 100% monthly ROI surf!
10. 12dailyproforever (20,586). This is new in Top 10. This is one surf that catches on the nostalgia concerning 12daily. No doubt, it is going to gain public attention as it hits the Top 10.
Of special mention, at No. 11, is 13dailypro (17,467) and is fast gaining attention with a proactive admin. This is rated as a promising surf by me.
Those Out:
1. Phoenixsurf - this program had been paying me and I moved it out of my Top 10. In this review, MMG has moved it to Site On Hold. Recently, it launched Ad-Titans which was viewed as an attempt to raise funds. This site has young ambitious management team and if it can show by fully paying everybody, it will survive. The question is how and when.
2. Eyesurfer. This one is into Scams/Closed Program. I did mention in previous reviews that I reckon these fellows are smart and they went for a short haul only. Will they be back? I reckon so given the way they craft an unique sight in their surf and everything is well orchestrated as they got closed after 4 paying cycles.
3. Epaysurf. See My Commentary
The top casualty will be Phoenix with Total Rune to move up in Top 5, and Top 5 is relatively unchanged from 12 May's review. Of the Top 10 here, I got 5 in my portfolio (see those with hyperlinks) and TotalRune. Here is the end of the review and remember to get out before it gets you out!
